About Me

Hello there!

catherine-poole-transcription-head-shotMy name is Catherine Poole, and I am based in the delightfully historic town of Dunfermline (birthplace of the hugely successful Scottish American industrialist Andrew Carnegie, you know!) in the kingdom of Fife, which is on the east coast of Scotland.

The business was launched at the end of 2010 when I realised I no longer had the stomach for going out to work – it didn’t really combine with the challenge of two young children at the time!

I really enjoy working with coaches, consultants, authors and trainers – creative people who love their words and want them to be really valuable, basically!

My Background

Since graduating from the University of St. Andrews in 1994 with a degree in English Language and Literature, I have worked in a number of roles, including Pensions Administrator at Standard Life, Web Tutor at Dundee University, Programme Administrator at Napier University and Executive Assistant at Martin Currie Investment Management.

My Business

After having my two children, I wanted to do something more flexible that would allow me to use the skills I had developed over the years of working, and thus my business was born! I just love to help creative people make the most of their words, whether they’re recorded or written.

When I’m not typing at lightning speed or spotting punctuation errors, I love a good read and I can be found singing regularly in my local choral union as well as humming along to the radio at every given opportunity (just not when I’m transcribing!).
