Privacy Policy
Your Privacy
My name is Catherine Poole and I run my intelligent transcription business as a one-person business. I am committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and will never misuse your personal details for any purposes.
My privacy policy explains how I collect and use data and how I keep this data safe and secure.
Types of Data I Collect
My website uses cookies to track visitors by way of Google Analytics, but I cannot identify individual visitors through this tracking process, so you can rest assured that your identity is safe and sound. I confirm that I do not make, nor do I allow Google to make, any attempt to identify individuals visiting my website.
Most web browsers will automatically accept cookies, but you can consult your browser’s ‘help’ function if you want to find out how to restrict or disable your browser’s handling of cookies.
Third Parties
The work I undertake for clients is backed up by an online back-up system called IDrive, which is protected by the EU privacy shield. This is to protect against the event of system failure, so I can regain access to important files.
I keep files backed up for one year before deleting them, unless otherwise instructed by clients, for example, in the case of files containing sensitive personal information. These will be deleted on return to the client.
Please click here to see IDrive’s privacy policy.
I often share files with clients via the file hosting service, Dropbox. I do not store personal information in Dropbox.
Please click here to see Dropbox’s privacy policy.
Access to your personal information
You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that I hold. Please email me on catherine@catherinepoole.co.uk to make your request.
